Before Sunrise, Sunset and Midnight.
Living life one moment at a time, is the only way to live.
Have you ever seen these movies? Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight? It’s something so simple but the message runs deep. And although I do not have a significant other nor plan on it, the theme is something that is relatable in a significant way.
The movies tell a simple story of a man and a woman discussing life together as they walk through the streets of a town in Europe. Each town is different, and each move is about 10 years apart, but still the theme is the same. Overall, the actually time and place does not matter. What matters is the dance through the discovery of life from each persons perspective. Of course, as lovers their is the discussion of love, sex and relationships. But something deeper connects with me.
The discussion with another human on this earth, about their perspective of all our trivial moments but also all of our most significant thoughts, is what I believe it the core to the meaning of life. It’s is what separates us from animals, what separates us from the stars and the atoms and the solar system. Our connect through our souls, no matter where we come from, gender or age, is what really matters. It’s what really counts. What shapes our character and soul and heart for the small moment of time we occupy.
Sometimes I think of all the souls of eternity as little specks of color and light. The way each connects and blends and creates an enormous painting of life for all eternity. An eternal collaboration of all creation coming together through light and dark and creating something out of nothing for no one to ever really see, but for anyone to feel connected with.
